Youth Trapping Camp

| Our Youth Trapping Camp is one of our most popular events each year! This hands-on camp will teach youth basic fundamental skills in the sport of trapping.Youth must be able to attend both days: Saturday 3/14 8am-4pm and Sunday 3/15 8am-Noon. Campers will help set and check a trap line, learn about trapping equipment and game identification, observe proper pelt preparation and discuss trapper ethics. This camp satisfies the IDNR Trapper Safety Education requirement to obtain an Illinois Trapper License. In addition to their Trapper Safety card, youth will have a chance to go home with trapping equipment. Open for boys & girls ages 10+ who have not previously attended our Youth Trapping Camp. Youth must be supervised by an adult (Note: One adult may supervise multiple youth.). Enrollment now open! |
