Whitetail Academy 2024
In partnership with WHITETAILS UNLIMITED
Take an opportunity to spend 3 days and 2 nights at Gardner Camp preparing for bowhunting season. We will provide youth with hands-on, interactive shooting and field experience to ready themselves for bow season. Experienced instructors will take time teaching bowhunting field techniques – shot placement, blood trailing, game retrieval, tree stand safety, trail camera tactics, deer management, and more. Mixed in we will feature friendly competitions, plenty of time to interact with other campers with similar interests, and traditional camp activities.
FEATURED ACTIVITIES:
  • CAMPERS COMPETE FOR A GARDNER CAMP WHITETAIL ARCHERY HUNT - Based on enthusiasm, positive attitude, growth during camp, and respect a camper is chosen to return, to Gardner Camp for a 2-Day Bow Hunt during the 2024/2025 season.
  • ARCHERY RANGE- The camp will utilize our 3-D archery trail, static range, and pop-up targets. Varying animals from turkey, boar, raccoon, skunk, deer, alligator, and carp are strategically placed with challenging shots at each target. Ten, twenty, and thirty-yard markers are placed at each station. Shooting stations may be on the ground, in a stand, uphill, downhill, near water, and at varying angles to the target to develop shooters into skilled hunters in any situation.
  • FIELD STATION CLASSES- Campers will attend 4 field stations during the weekend that will cover everything needed to know about whitetail archery hunting. During this time youth will have hands on experience with land management, setting up trail cameras, learning safety in tree stands, and how to shoot and retrieve a successful harvest.
