Set the hook and cast your worries away with our 2-Day Youth Advanced Fly Fishing Clinic! Join us at Gardner Camp alongside our beautiful 3-acre fishing pond and become a part of the next generation of Fly fishers to enter the sport. This is an advanced course for experienced fishermen ages 11-17. Youth will have the opportunity to develop fly-casting skills and techniques, learn basic knot tying, an understanding of entomology (aquatic insects), fly-rod rigging, and fly selection. Youth will have the opportunity to test their newly-found skills by setting up their own rod, casting, and fishing.

This advanced class offers instruction by professional angler and guide, Sam Potter. Sam has taught men, women and children of all ages how to fly fish in the Missouri Ozarks for more than 18 years. He’s had clients from New Brunswick Canada to California, as well as Germany, Ireland, Poland and Japan. He is an authorized fly fishing guide with the National Park Service and the National Forest Service and a member of Trout Unlimited, Missouri Smallmouth Alliance and the Roubidoux Fly Fishers Association.

All equipment will be provided for use during the clinic. Youth may bring his/her own fly rod. Bug Spray and sunscreen will be available. Snack/ drink will be provided.
