This is a required course prior to being issued an IL Hunting License. Participants MUST attend both Friday 9/19 (5:30-8:30pm) & Saturday 9/20 (9am-4:30pm). Taught by IDNR Hunter Safety Education Instructors, these courses cover the basics of: • hunter responsibility and ethics • treestand safety • firearms and ammunition • field safety • first aid • bowhunting • muzzleloading • wildlife conservation and identification • state regulations All ages are welcome but youth MUST be able to pass a written exam. A parent or guardian must be present with youth 12 and under throughout the event. Lunch will be served on Saturday.
